A Pregnant Jesus

I saw Jesus from the waist down. He was wearing a white robe and had a very round belly.

"Why do you have such a big stomach?" I dared to ask.

"It's about the things I'm pregnant with."

"What?"

"You can't do anything about it or the timing, but you will know when it happens."

This conversation led me to think about the pain in childbirth.

Jesus said, "Rest in me."

Then I got a picture of the birth of my youngest child. There was a trust between the Doctor and myself as the doctor directed me when, and when not, to push as she guided my awkwardly positioned baby through the birth canal.

Jesus impressed upon me that we are a team and that there is trust involved. He is training my spiritual ears. This made me feel special. He gives me a picture of what He is doing so I can cooperate. He said, "I love you. Don't give in to fear. Trust."

I left the session feeling pregnant.

Timing is His part. My part is to trust.

(This must be why I am craving salted herring.)

This Immanuel session happened about eight months ago. Tomorrow I'm going to the lab for an ultra-sound because I have the belly of a pregnant woman about four months along. The problem is I'm 62 years old and I've already done the menopausal thing.
