Holy Spirit Stories

I need the Holy Spirit to be ever-present. I want Him to be the initiator, the guide and the encourager, to lead and direct me. I want my heart to be His home, a house for His presence.

At a recent church meeting we shared Holy Spirit stories to stir up our faith. As we told our experiences we felt His presence and our faith increase. Here are a few of those stories:

Ever since an experience with the Holy Spirit, Bob lives life with a hunger for God’s presence. While on his bed, as a teenager he made a profound discovery. For the first time he recognized God loved him. Night after night Bob experienced God’s love in the presence of the Holy Spirit as waves of weeping and laughter swept over him. He couldn’t get enough. To this day he is hungry for more.

Thirty-eight years ago, as a new Christian, Lynne challenged the Lord during a Catholic mass. A woman had greeted her and Lynne had no idea who this person was. Lynne said to the Lord, "People say you speak to them. Please tell me her name." The name Olive Kimbal came to mind. Indeed this woman was Olive Kimbal. Since then, Lynne has lived with the assurance that the Lord wants to talk to her.

Diane attended a Full Gospel Business Men’s event in British Columbia. She went forward to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues. Her husband became quite concerned. Yet, all the way home they sensed a tangible incredible peace between them.

(more stories to come)
